Consultation & Surgery
COGA provides complete gynaecological care for people at every stage of life.
We can help you find the right contraception for preventing pregnancy and/or managing a problematic menstrual cycle. This includes the fitting of IUDs (intrauterine devices) in the comfort of our clinic. With utmost transparency and respect, we can also assist with the diagnosis and treatment of STI-related issues.
Our fertility experts understand all the options available for creating a family – including for single parents, trans men and women and same sex couples. We will cooperatively discuss, investigate and advise – while leaving you firmly in control of the decision-making.
We understand there is no singular way to transition from one’s birth-assigned gender. Our doctors consult on gender affirmation and fertility preservation in a person-centred, multidisciplinary manner and can provide a number of choices around the surgical removal of reproductive organs.
Heavy or painful periods and abnormal bleeding can be extremely disruptive to life. Fortunately there are now numerous options for reducing the impact. Our doctors consult around PCOS and hormonal symptoms as well as specialising in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of endometriosis.
The end of menstruation can present a new range of discomforts and issues for many women. We aim to smooth the path for perimenopausal and menopausal women using a cross-discipline approach including diet, physiotherapy and hormonal treatment.
Many women will experience a pelvic organ prolapse in their lifetime, causing pain and discomfort. There are a number of options you can explore with our doctors including pessary rings and surgery which can be combined effectively with pelvic floor physiotherapy and hormonal treatment.
Pelvic pain can be due to a number of underlying causes in the reproductive and urinary systems. Our doctors can conduct colposcopy and laparoscopic investigations, as well as consult on abnormal smears, pre-cancers, cysts and vulval disorders.
Due to capacity constraints, we are not currently accepting patients for private obstetrics care. We continue to consult on high-risk pregnancies and provide general antenatal treatments.
For those who wish to restore the possibility of growing their family, we can offer the reversal of both procedures. We can also support couples and individuals with fertility and conception post-procedure.
