Chrissie Dodds
Business Manager
As warm-natured as she is cool-headed, Chrissie manages the business operations of COGA and loves the busy, lively role. No two days are ever the same and she describes it as a privilege to work with the best practitioners in women’s healthcare – doctors and support staff alike – and to share in celebrating positive outcomes for patients.
Her comprehensive background in medical administration includes experience in private hospitals, dermatology, plastics, neurology, psychiatry, ophthalmology, general surgery/colorectal and now, obstetrics and gynaecology. Complementing this rich health sector experience is her additional study in leadership, business and te reo Māori. Chrissie also supports other medical practice managers in her role as Secretary for the Christchurch branch of PMAANZ (Practice Managers and Administrators of NZ).
Like everyone at COGA, Chrissie is a strong advocate for women’s health and the improvements that gynaecological treatment can make to lives – particularly when it comes to issues like menopause, where understanding of the impact on women is limited.
Home for Chrissie is a cute bungalow in a leafy suburb of Christchurch where she enjoys a range of creative pursuits. An (extremely) active relaxer, she nurtures a beautiful and productive garden and loves yoga, cooking, embroidery, knitting and paper crafts. Visitors to COGA can see Chrissie’s talent for themselves – those gorgeous baby clothes at reception were hand-knitted by none other than our clever, crafty business manager.
