ANGELA BEARDGynaecologist

Angela is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist whose medical training was undertaken at Otago University, where she discovered a strong passion for women's health. Angela completed her specialist O&G training at Christchurch Women's Hospital. She worked at the King Edward Hospital in Perth where she completed a surgical fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery. She joined COGA on her return to Christchurch and enjoys working in private practice with other skilled practitioners who are focused on the importance of women-created care and clinical excellence.

Angela is married to John, who is also a medical specialist. They have two boys, Thomas and Matthew.

Specialty Interest
Management of menorrhagia and endometriosis using advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic procedures, including laparoscopic hysterectomy. Management of vulval and cervical disorders. Extensive experience with infertility treatment. Normal and high risk obstetrics. Strong interest in medical education.

COLIN CONAGHANGynaecologist

Colin graduated from Otago University in 1977. He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in New Zealand before completing his training in the United Kingdom. Colin worked at the Queen's Mothers Hospital and Western Infirmary Glasgow, Scotland before returning to a Senior Consultant role at Christchurch Women's Hospital.

Married with three children and one grandson.

Speciality Interest
Management of menorrhagia, urinary incontinence and vaginal prolapse. Extensive experience at laparoscopic surgery for investigation of pain, management of endometriosis, uterine and ovarian surgery. Colposcopist with extensive experience in managing abnormal smears. CQuIP Certified by RANZCOG.

JANE FIELDERGynaecologist

Jane Fielder is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG) working at Christchurch Obstetric and Gynaecology Associates and Christchurch Women's Hospital. Jane graduated from Otago University in 1999. She trained at Christchurch Women's Hospital, The Princess Anne Hospital Southampton, and also undertook a gynaecology fellowship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Adelaide. Jane works in all areas of gynaecology and has a special interest in hysteroscopic sterilisation, and medical disorders in pregnancy. She has experience in subfertility and minimal access surgery. Jane is married and lives on 10 acres near Rangiora.

GEETA SINGHGynaecologist

Geeta graduated from Osmania University, India in 1991. She trained and worked in India as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist before moving to New Zealand in 1995. She has worked in Tauranga and National Women's Hospital. She completed her fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists at Christchurch Women's Hospital, Dunedin and Invercargill. She has worked at the Christchurch Fertility Centre (Repromed). Geeta is currently a consultant at Christchurch Women's Hospital working in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is married with two daughters.

Speciality Interest
Management of urogynaecology disorders including prolapse and urinary incontinence procedure. Laparoscopic surgery including management of endometriosis and hysterectomy. Colposcopy and management of abnormal smears and vulva disorders. General gynaecology including menorrhagia, dysmenorrhoea and endometrial ablation.

SHERIF TAWFEEKGynaecologist

Trained in the United Kingdom in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Has published and presented papers on his research into pelvic pain and endometriosis. Senior Consultant at Christchurch Women's Hospital leading the Endoscopic Unit. Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Otago.

Married with four children.

VICKI TAYLORBM, RMPractice Midwife

Vicki trained as a midwife here in Christchurch. She has previously worked as a midwife at St George's Hospital, then as a midwife and clinical co-ordinator on the birthing suite and maternity wards at Christchurch Women's Hospital for 15 years prior to joining us here at Christchurch O & G Associates as our practice midwife in 2015. Vicki's friendly and approachable manner has made it easy for patients to contact her to discuss results and any clinical concerns.

JAN GRUEBERClinic Manager

Jan has been with the medical centre for over 20 years and is familiar with all aspects of the business. The knowledge that Jan brings to the workplace is shown in her respect for patients and staff, her reliability along with a calm confident manner when addressing all issues of a busy medical practice.
